Join us for a presentation from Professor Gerhard Wiesenfeldt, who will talk about conflicts that arose around 17th century Dutch philosophy (most notably Descartes and Spinoza), the terms (intellectual, political, religious) in which we can understand them, and what these conflicts meant for the origin of the enlightenment.

This event will need a bit more concentration than others, but as always there will be snacks provided and time for discussion afterwards.
